WHY DID I MAKE THIS PAGE?
I didn't like the owoTrack Discord's sometimes old and irrelevant information.

DRIVER BLOCKED / NOT SHOWING IN ADD-ONS LIST
Launch SteamVR, enter settings -> startup / shutdown and click manage add-ons and enable owoTrack or SlimeVR.
If owoTrack or SlimeVR is not there, go to %localappdata%/openvr, open openvrpaths.vrpath in a text editor, and add it under external drivers.
It MUST be \\ and NOT \.
NOT CONNECTING
If your device is failing to connect, and you are using a VPN, turn it off.
CONNECTION TIMED OUT
If the connection times out, make sure that you are within the same room, or immediate area of the access point. if you are and on the same network as the computer, make sure the IP in the client app is correct. the IP can be found by entering ipconfig into terminal.
If the IP is correct, make sure that ports 6969 and 35903 are allowed through the firewall using the commands provided in administrator terminal.

HANDSHAKE FAILED
Sometimes the handshake while initialising the connection will fail. When this happens, you may have to try to connect several times more. If it will not connect after multiple attempts, try restarting both the client and host devices.
IOS HANDSHAKE FAILED
Set the network on your computer to private in settings > network and internet > properties > Private.
If the handshake still fails, restart the computer and iOS app and try again, or try multiple times.
IPHONE RANDOMLY DISCONNECTS
After ~20 minutes iPhones kill apps with the screen off to save on battery. This can't be turned off. Unlock the device every 20 minutes to avoid disconnection.
CONTROLLERS NOT WORKING PROPERLY
You may find that sometimes your controllers will not work after enabling owoTrack. This is a known bug in SteamVR. make sure that you connect both controllers before starting owoTrack. Sometimes you might have to restart SteamVR when this happens.
VIVE WAND INPUT SWAPPED
A known but unfixed bug in owoTrack causes Vive wand inputs to be applied to the wrong hand, i.e the right hand does gestures for the left hand in VRChat. The only known fix for this is to change the wands to the opposing hand, and to restart the application you're using.
TRACKING STOPS WHEN SCREEN OFF
(Android) Visit dontkillmyapp to find out how to stop this.
(iOS) Power saver must remain off, GPS enabled, and unlock device every ~20 minutes to keep phone connected.
TRACKER DRIFTING
Ensure the magnetometer is enabled on the device. If it is, recalibrate in the owoTrack overlay and do the figure 8 for a little while longer.
Some VR controllers have magnets in, namely Oculus controllers. Avoid putting controllers near the device.
Sometimes having a better position on the body can help with drifting. The device should ideally be in-line with the belly button, or on the chest.
You should avoid putting the device in a pocket, where it can move around freely, or somewhere on the leg.
USE IN VRCHAT
To calibrate and use owoTrack in VRChat, you must open your quick menu by pressing b, and click calibrate. You will then be put into a T-pose. Press both triggers at the same time to confirm a calibration when lined up.
NO CALIBRATE BUTTON
If there is no calibration button, make sure you're in the quick menu, the small one on your hand. Also make sure that in quick menu settings, full body is enabled, and that owoTrack is active.
LEGS (NOT) MOVING
If your legs are (not) moving, select "locomotion animation" in quick menu settings.
SENSORS NOT FOUND
Verify that your device is supported by visiting GSMArena and checking for your devices supported sensors. If your device has all the supported sensors, but owoTrack does not see them, file a bug report in the Discord Server.
